Happy Bounding Gingersnap
Hard to believe, but this 8 month old heeler was a perfect angel in the car yesterday. I had to pick her up and put her in the car the first time, but after a couple of walk breaks she started leaping right up on the back seat. I just love it when dogs realize that we’re going to come back to the car and they get excited to wait!

My favorite part of the trip so far- her self recognition in the mirror. My non-pro photos can’t capture all her nose taps and head turns, but trust me- she was quite charming!

In her honor, I picked up some ginger candy at Trader Joe’s in Santa Fe to keep me alert on the long drive across West Texas today. She’s such a good influence on me! (smile)
